Squeel in the front wheel
My front passanger tire squeaks when it's moving, I posted once and was told its the squeaker for my brakes but I check the pads and there fine and no where near the squealer but it dose look like it could be possibly rubbing the pads agents the rotor but there's no pull in my steering when driving and little to no resestince spinning it, I got a video I'm trying to load to show of it jacked in the air getting spun by hand

Check the wheel bearing.

Re: Squeel in the front wheel
you have to take off the wheel and then the hub is it 4 wheel or 2 wheel. the bearing are under the rotor. you know when you turn the wheel it is spining on the bearing. if its two wheel take off the dust cap then losen the nut and it will fall off, if its 4 wheel you have to take off the hub by taking off all the bolts that hold on the hub then pul the two nut that are in side u will need a tool from auto zone to undo it then it come off

Re: Squeel in the front wheel
well a jack, jack stand, a screw driver to take off the dust cap and a wrench the take off the castel nut dont know the size, and a pair of pilers, thats all i think. once you take off the castel nut you just pull off the front hub. when you put it to getter you just spine the hub as you tighten the nut untill it stop spining real easy the back it off a little bit at a time. you will find the right spot when you do it then you just put the cotter pin in a new one.

Re: Squeel in the front wheel
may want to check the sqealers, can rub rust and make noise
bearings i usally feel vibs first sometimes you have to remove the rust edge on the outside of the rotor where the pad dosn't fit in random web pic but you get the idea and sometimes they don't wear flat (pad)

Re: Squeel in the front wheel
It could even be the dust shield on the back of the rotor rubbing the rotor its hard to tell with out seeing the truck in person. On the wheel bearings just pull the brake pads on both sides if one side is wore more then that sides wheel bearing is bad.

Re: Squeel in the front wheel
Am I gunna need a special tool for the brakes or anything, I have never done a job like this and don't wanna harm my truck,I feel a little shake in the truck going down the road but just feels like my wheels are off balance, I only drive 5 km to work and back, plus the occasional 18 km run to tim hortons for a coffee, is this bad to do with bad bearings? Or should I cut my loss and get to walkintill I fix it

Re: Squeel in the front wheel
I had a similar problem with 3/4 ton. Turned out to be one of my calipers was seizing up . Try jacking up that side and see if the wheel and rotor turn freely. If thats the problem I suggest replacing both calipers so they both move the same. Good Luck ....Gord

Sucks bro.. my wheel bearings are loose too. Need to tighten them up and grease them. Hopefully its not too much to fix yours.

Re: Squeel in the front wheel
Ok well I'm guessing now that I need wheel bearing lube, I got the seals and the bearings, but don't have that special tool to remove the casings, is it possible to leave those in and just replace the bearings?!?!?!

Re: Squeel in the front wheel
No, you can't leave the outer race on the hub. It's part of the bearing and will wear with the bearing.

Re: Squeel in the front wheel
to bad it wasn't just the pads
a brass drift or punch can be used to remove the race from the back, brass won't score the insides new bearings need to be packed with grease blob on one palm, hold bearing like a dougnut push side of bearing into grease pushing grease in from the side, through the bearing, till it comes out in the middle

Re: Squeel in the front wheel
Well I replaced the bearing and checked the races for the outer ones and they weren't scored or damaged so I was told there ok, I greased the hell out of them before I put them in and did the grease in the palm trick,I also replaced my brake pads wail I was at it, now she's quite and smooth....so far, is there any signs to look for if the bearings arnt working right?

Re: Squeel in the front wheel
you might get some tire noise now if the tire wore a bit funny
with the front jacked up grab tire 6 and 12 push and pull for more play
