the truck looks good, but for that price, IDK, I mean if the engine is good and from the looks of it the INT appears to be good, you'd have to see it in person, look for normal areas that rust out, make sure that isnt bad.

I saw a way nicer truck, 61 here in Dallas for 3k way nicer than that, but then again, maybe up north they cost more

I seriously doubt that truck only has 14K miles on it
It is not a "rare" truck.
Might have tons of rust, you need to see it in real life 1st.

Better can be had for less.

In reality, in today's economy, you can buy a finished truck for less that you can buy a builder and what it would cost to change everything to newer.

Probably asking more because of custom paint, LOL(notice not the same on both sides) I'd also be concerned that the RR wheel is way forward in the W/O. Maybe just angle of pic- just looks off.

To me it looks like an $800 truck:



The wrecked bed would kill any interest I might have had, and far from being rare it’s the most common type on the market. It would require a lot of measuring to make sure the frame isn’t bent regardless of the claims to the contrary. The right rear wheel looks like it could be closer to the front than the one of the driver side. It seems likely the mileage is 114K (unless it’s gone around twice). And trying to sell a vehicle with a failing clutch is silly. If it were that simple why not fix it. To achieve top dollar the clutch and bed should already be repaired. It could easily have a rear main seal leaking on the clutch which is a much bigger problem to fix. I don’t see this as any kind of bargain, not at the price he's asking.

And good luck with the shoulder repair. Those can take a long time to heal, and dedicated therapy is essential to avoid permanent limited movement.

At 114K miles, the truck and power train will be well worn if not worn out. if only 14K, the truck has had a very hard life. It's already been redone inside and out, so I seriously doubt it's the latter. 3G's gets less of a truck than it used to, but this one has some questionable history for that money. Without concrete answers, i'd say it's a little overpriced.

I have been looking at the Pittsburgh craigslist as well, always on the lookout. That truck has probably been listed on there for more than a year, that tells me it is to high priced and the owner is not willing to budge. Locally here there have been many far better trucks listed for similar prices.

that's definitely a nicer truck. but it's much more expensive and approaching resto truck territory for price. BUT, if it is done up like YOU like, then it's not a bad deal.

Personally, I'd keep looking unless this one is no-kidding what you like - in which case, it might very well be worth it to jump on it. But ask yourself: is it how you'd have outfitted and painted your truck if you started with a blank canvas? If no, I'd keep lookin.

I think both are over priced, although Im more partial to the 63's. I think the "rare" part is something that is attached to everything 50 years old, although it seems the big back windows cabs were only slightly less produced, nothing rare about them. In fact you can by a conversion kit and convert any small window cab to a large window. In NC, the 1st would probably be $1500 with the parts. The 2nd truck is nice, but $4000-$5000 around here. Some guys would pay more/less in other areas. Im basing these prices off what our going rate is. Id do some more looking and watch ebay...seen alot of nice trucks go cheap and some go for double what Id thought they'd bring. Check the classifieds here also. Lots of nice trucks there in various stages of reapir. Stay away from anything w/frame damage unless you want to swap frames. Just my opinion.

I have to agree with everyone else. Much too pricey for what is there. At least as to what is normally sold around here. However, if that is normal for the north states, maybe I should start buying trucks around here and open a used car shop in the north east. Looks like a person could make a lot of money that way. 800-1000 here, say 1000 to get it there and still make 1000 profit.

The amount of damage shown on the rear there, I'd be very surprised if it didnt tweek the frame a little. And a lot of the words he used in the description like "patched" floors, and "patched" rust. Those tend to be flags for me. They give me the impression of a patchwork quilt. When done right I think "repaired" or "fixed" or even "replaced" would be more descriptive of a well done job. Patched sounds like, put down some adhesive and slap a panel over it. But that may be just me.

I just had a 63 Burb shipped from WA state to the far eastern side of WV for 1,850. I used DAS, they had the best price and I searched a lot, including the guys on the HAMB. DAS delivered as promised, no issues.
