1948 Rear Suspension
I want to update my rear suspension, looking at a 8.8 Ford rear end. I was thinking of buying a new leaf spring kit from CCP. But during my visit to a salvage yard this last weekend, i noticed that the Ford Explorers have a leaf spring system that hang under the chassis just like on my 48. Has anyone out there used the Ford Explorer suspension? did you use the hangers? any difficulties or suggestions?

Re: 1948 Rear Suspension
I have some Mopar van springs under my 53 as they were the same length and the center bolt on the spring pack is the tell tail point to keep in mind.
The Ford truck "should" work if they are long enough, the rear end I have read is the right width so try it and tell us all about it !!
