Found a 1965 driver!

I found a real nice truck last week that will be my daily driver after I fix a few things. Nothing against my S10 but this will keep my interest up while I try to get my 64 step back together after the fire. The 65 sold new in Idaho and spent most of it's life in North Dakota. Everything on it is bone dry, so much so that the first thing I"m doing before it gets wet is install a new windshield rubber.

More pics. Not sure what those head bangers were but out they came! Painted to match interior and I assume were added by someone years ago but not sure why. Would make a nasty impression on the back of my head if I was rearended.

Agree, very clean. Original seat upholstry, original wood in bed, original below eye line mirrors, not your typical find these days!

Nice truck! Looks to be a newer crate GM Goodwrench 350 under the hood. Or is it just the valve covers?

Yes, Goodwrench 350, granny low 4 speed. Replacing the Holley with an Edelbrock to smooth out the motor a little. Not sure how many miles on the 350 but no leaks on engine, tranny or rear end.

Took a good look underneath and found spare tire in stock holder and a pair of the stubby overload leaf springs that came as an option. One of the previous owners must have had some bad fuel issues because there's a new gas tank behind the seat and a fairly serious fuel filter under the hood.
