pics of progress on my 63 c10
thanks to all boards like this one and over at the jalopyjournal site, i am making some progress on my 63. even hope to drive it in the next week or so.
have learned a ton doing this. of course have a small heap of wrong-bought parts but oh well. so far ive managed to: - swap new tires and rims(had to space out the front rims with 3/8 plates from napa because the rim was hitting the pittman arm) - rigged up the power steering conversion kit and even managed to get the pulley nearly dead nuts on - new brake lines front to back tho i did have the local mechanic do up the bends for the front as mine were atrocious - found a 70 c10 and used it for the complete crossmember swap for disks in front - found a 72 c10 and used the rear in the truck and the engine in the 48 - scored a nearly mint NOS seat from a 72 and dropped that in with new seatbelts - new headers painted and installed and new simple exhaust fabbed up - prob more things but i know this is easy stuff for most of you all. was a challenge for me but i learned lots. heres a vid of it running: thanks again for everyones help. i truly appreciate it |

I like it! Those wheels look great on these trucks. Inner box spare tire carrier to boot. Very Cool!
