clarify for current project
Ok I have a 70 c10 2wd short bed stepside.I got 72 spindles and complete brakes including the rear end. I read the swap thread and as I inderstand it I have to use 72 balljoints and tierod ends. Am I correct?

Keep us posted of your progress.
I would use the steering linkage off the '72 also. (centerlinks and all the tie rods)

Your '70 inner tie rods are 5/8" diameter, and RH thread.
The '72 outer tier rods are 11/16" diameter and ALSO RH thread. The 72 center link is different. (larger holes for the inner tie rods than your 70) Tie rods and center link are either 63-70 or 71-72.
