Some Bodywork

So I started cutting some sections out of the donor cab I bought. I also got my papers in the mail today about our career center at my high school. I will be taking Collision Repair and Auto Refinishing. So I hope to using the skills I learn in that to help on my truck. Also is there any other parts besides cab corners, floors, and rocker panels I should look to see if they are worth keeping from the donor cab?

Re: Some Bodywork

Firewall, particularly along the seam where it's welded to the toe board. The seam sealer over the years shrinks and this area rusts out. A-pillars, sometimes water gets under the windshield gasket and rusts out the pinch welds. Rear window pinch weld too.

Okay thanks, I probably would have never thought of those.

I have always wondered about this, is the roof just pretty much a cap that is welded to the shell or what?
