I did not notice that. I did notice it was chopped above the driprails and below. I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner as he was getting mobbed.
It didn't resemble my old pos burb.

Re: 55-59 pics puyallup good guys '12

I enjoy going to the car/truck shows, in fact I also went to the Puyallup show last weekend. But the logic escapes me. You or I spend thousands of dollars and thousands of hours building these hot rods and some company (in this case "Goodguys") charges us money to let the public look at them. Again........we spend the money and time to build them, they collect the money from us to let others (who they also collected money from) look at them. What's wrong with this picture? It sure was a great show though.

I get what your saying. Goodguys has gotten so big at some of thier shows its almost unmanageable.
However the puyallup fairgrounds can't be cheap and add to that insurance, security, advertising, personell resources management, logistics. It's organized chaos. Goodguys probably either makes alot or looses alot if they don't know what they are doing.
I like them because of the amount of oddball and orphan rigs that show up. What i dont like is that the cars/trucks/wagons/customs/hotrods/musclecars, are all mixed in together. I dont mind paying the $$$ if the cars are organized a little better.

What I'm saying is, why do the car owners have to pay to have their vehicles in the show. I agree 100% that the public should have to pay to see them, just like any other event. But the builders/owners should not have to pay. Do you charge the hockey player to play? No, in fact you pay the hockey player to show his talent to the fans. The event organizers certainly have a right to make a profit on the show, but they are charging the very people who draw the ticket purchasers to the gate. Anyway, it just seems strange to me.

That's an incredible suburban you have Jon. Welcome to the forum. I remember talking to a guy in the seattle area a few years back that was building a 55' burb on an art morrison chassis, I wonder if this is the vehicle.
You should post some pictures and specs on it. I didn't get to look at it real close at the show, as I had my sons with me.

By far one of the coolest rigs in the northwest.

Thanks It has been a fun (long) build, we got into racing and the burb has kinda been on hold for a long time. It does have a Morrison chassis 468 and 700R4, we chopped the roof 3" in the pillars and 2" out of the crown, i opened up the rear windows an inch this made them the same height as the doors, power up/down (originals were sliders) Made quarter panels to fit Cameo taillights, wedge cut the hood 1.5" peeked the head lights 1/2" Door handle are 55 new yorker, Dash and glove box are hand built along with the interior window moulding, A/C ducts run inside the window moulding to the back seats, 3000 watts of amps are hiden behind the hollowed out surk board mounted in the roof, a one piece fiberglass head liner so there are no seams in the material. Blah Blah Blah LOL. I hope to finish it this winter but i have been saying that for six years. Thanks again

That's one great looking burb Jon. I can only imagine the hours involved in it.

Thank you for sharing these pics! I just noticed the body mods to extend this cab- do you have any shots from the side?

Thanks again, Bill
