Air Leaking Sound: Any ideas?

When I drive my truck, I hear a sound like air is leaking from somewhere. It's only like when I go from stop to part throttle. (Like off a stop sign). It's like a "shh shh shh shh shh shh" sound. I've checked to make sure all my header bolts were tight. The header gaskets are brand new. I don't have any smog equipment. (Such as an AIR Pump, that MIGHT make that noise) any ideas?
I got to thinking, that maybe that's just a normal sound for long tube headers to make on trucks. (Like air rushing through the primary tubes)

Without hearing the sound I guess its hard to call.

Is it a constant shhhhhhhhhh, or does it go shh shh shh etc.?

If your are talking about a constant shhhhhhhhhhhh:
I hear it too when driving next to a wall or curb at lower speeds.
I also here the sound coming from vehicles that drive by me.

It's a shh shh shh shh shh shh shh. I was thinking a bearing was out in something (water pump or somethin) But there's no bearings to BE out, since everything's brand new. Maybe it's coming from my EGR valve? I don't have anything hooked to it, so maybe it's letting air out somehow..but that EGR valve will be gone in a week, as soon as my blockoff plate gets here

you just put an open element air cleaner on it, correct? did it do it before you did that? the stock filter housing muffles alot of noise.

Don't have one of those because my truck never had A/C. The heater/defrost door is controlled by a cable.

Defects are common in tires and aren't covered under warranty without shipping them back yourself. lol
