Column Shift Question for LSx engine install
Is anyone using a column shift on their LSx engine install? I don't know if I read it here or somewhere else, but they said the column linkage to the trans wouldn't fit because the motors are wider.
Plan is to get an Ididit column and I would really like to have the column shift not a floor shift. Thanks for the help. |

Re: Column Shift Question for LSx engine install
With the shift arm in the standard position (towards the engine) it's WAY too close to the manifold, and I think my vette manifolds tuck better than the rest of the LSx manifolds. I used a Lokar column mounted cable shifter to allow me to spin the shift linkage to the other side of the column. Worked like a charm.

Re: Column Shift Question for LSx engine install
I too used the lokar cable shift for my LsX conversion and it worked great. I would suggest it. It takes a little bit to get it fine tuned but it is the way to go.
