Cab vs Panel Roof Geometry 55-59

So is the design of the panel roof a stretched out version of the cab design? Do the corners share the same geometry?

Would it be possible use the back of an aftermarket cab roof for the back of my panel?

Its been ahwile since i got rid of the 59 burb I had so i can't remember the exact difference in the height of the roof panel above the drip rail. Burb/panels have a higher roof line above the drip rail, however, it seems like most of it was in the center. The silouette may be the same at the rear but i would try and locate a truck somewhere to get them side by side and compare.

If it's not an exact fit, maybe I can just cut off a U shape to replace the cancer zones and gutter? Then I'll have some steel left over to address other areas. Sound reasonable?

Roof is not even close to the same. What section are you looking for? Side, back? if it side then a patch can be easily made if your drip rail is ok but if you are into the drip rail....look for another pnael roof. They are bolted on most of the way around.

Yeah, I had a look at the truck today. Not a feasible idea.
