Super cool Fifth wheel!

Until this video I had only seen this for VW bugs. Never thought they made one for Squares.

How would one go about reinforcing the roof panels?

Re: Super cool Fifth wheel!

Pillars and roofs are designed to hold up three times vehicle weight. It's mandatory by regulations. I would be worried about shear pull. I would definately install a cage or add support bars.

Re: Super cool Fifth wheel!

Tie that to a cage that is tied to the frame and you'd be good to go!

Re: Super cool Fifth wheel!

They must have done something like that, I was trying to pick it up on stop action when they were hitching up. I couldn't see much.

If it was me I'd fabricate an internal cage like the ol' roll bars we used to install in Blazers back-in-the-day
