New question on division felt..
I bought the kit from GMC Paul's. Do I have to take the rivets out, or can I just pull out the felt and replace it with the new.
If I can get the channel clean I don't see the need to have to drill out the rivets. The new style does not rivet in. So don't see why I need to drill out the current ones. Thank you and ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

Re: New question on division felt..
I just clean the channel and install the felt with a little bead of silicone behind it.

Re: New question on division felt..
division felt repalcements should have a rubberized netting on the back that will slide in and act as a gripper to keep them in place. I didn't do anything with my rivets and it came out great. I used classic parts instead of paul's but I'm sure they are very similar.

Re: New question on division felt..
The rivets hold the division "bar" itself to the wing vent and the lower bracket.
I used the Classic Parts felt also.

Re: New question on division felt..
misunderstood. I just did the rubber/felt and passed on the div bar changeout. I wasn't up to the challenge for that one and luckily mine was in great shape. Good luck with the install.
