Suspension tips/advice...
Hey guys i have searched and searched and i am trying to find the best budget suspension setup... with a baby on the way i cant afford to drop the coin on a 4 link
Souns like coilover sprigs and beefed up rear suspension.... and some good drag radials obviously My truck will be 99% street driven and will rarely make it to the track... but i would still like it to hook best possible on the street.. I am still in the building process but just trying to plan ahead! 04 5.3 cam, springs, ect.... 76mm turbo built 4l80e yank 3600 stall I will be in the 650-700hp range... I know it wont hook great on the street with that kind of power but want to know some tricks and advice... I plan on the biggest MT drag radial i can fit and boxing in the arms.... what coilovers is everyone running? Thanks for any help/advice! |

Re: Suspension tips/advice...
I run qa1 single adjustable coilovers. The trailing arms don't need to be boxed. Weld the seams and maybe a small plate at the front of the arms. Move any weight you can to the rear. Battery Fuel cell etc.

Re: Suspension tips/advice...
Mine has been down for 4 yrs. I have been doing a major redo. Truck is in the paint shop right now. I don't remember how my shocks were set. I am almost done with my son's truck and we will be tuning on it soon. His truck has the shorter qa1's and they are mounted in front of the axle where mine are behind. My shocks are long and would have to come through the bed floor. My truck weighted 3150 with me in it.
Check out the link in my signature to see the run those times came from.
