10 most dangerous intersections

I stumbled onto this and i know it involves a lot of guys on our forums. don't worry about me I only live 45 minutes from both of those listed in Philly But I avoid the whole city of Philadelphia like the plague. Funny though I was delivering a camaro and got stuck(gridlock) in the middle of that one intersection (red lion rd. & roosevelt) with my trailer on the back. some nut tried to take me on and wound up peeling pieces of his urethane bumper off in the process of trying to edge by my trailer. I win!!
I know Frisco is near Plano,Tx. and we have a few here from Phoenix & Tulsa area.
Funny no mention of the wonderful N.J. traffic circles! guess they're not an intersection.

Ugh - Sacramento is a pain in the butt. Last time I went there, I got stuck going in circles on a bunch of one way streets! Urban hell! All the buildings looked alike!

For Edmonton in Canada, the Whitemud is the road that is considered the most dangerous, most people go 30 km over the limit, and end up slamming into someone or a power pole or something... More accidents occur on that road than anywhere else in the whole city combined...

I used to live right by the one in Frisco. Talk about a cluster. Driving through that intersection was like playing Russian Roulette...with two bullets.

On that highest per population death rate it looks like coming out of those long straight desert roads and into town is too tough to handle for them. The exception is Delaware ( del-a-where?) A damn shopping Mall probably fell on them at the intersection LOL. I don't think there is a piece of road in De. that you can go over 40 on before it stops at a shopping mall. I live 10 minutes from the WORST part of that state. In defense. Their Bridge is Nice!
But again we have our traffic circles.

I was born on Academy&Grant aves. and my Dad lives on Red Lion 1 block from the Blvd. These are wicked intersections because of the double median in the centers of the road. Living in Jersey...gotta love those circle jerks

Last time I saw that Georgia had made the ranks with US41 and Windyhill Rd. I think it's still near #1 in GA but nice to see it dropped off the top 10 US listing.

yes phoenix is home to possibly the worst drivers in the nation i have to agree.im not the best driver in the world myself but jesus some people in phoenix need to have there license revoked permanetely.i have a friend who has gotten between 10 and 20 moving violations since getting his license in 1999 before Az went to there graduated license B.S and he just recently got his driving priveledge revoked for only 3 months and of those moving violations like 7 of them have been accidents and i believe he was at fault for like 5 of them-needless to say he cant drive and he also should have gotten his driving priveledge revoked for more than 3 damn months.i got one speeding ticket almost 3 yrs ago and the court didnt recieve the payment in time-damn post office-my license was suspended for a week before they recieved the payment-the suspension was unknown to me and i was going to get something to eat late one night and i got pulled over just west of power rd in mesa and i found out then my license was suspended-i got a break and the cop let me drive home since i lived like 3 minutes away-in court the next week they practically were ready to throw the book at me for one little offense and my buddy gets like 20 tickets and is in 7 accidents and he gets a slap on the wrist.ok ill get off my soapbox now but things like that show why arizona has such stupid drivers for the most part

I expected to see Tulsa on there, people drive like idiots. 71st & Memorial is really bad, I grew up 1 mile from there and now live a few miles from there. It's the big intersection right by the mall. You have to wait a few seconds after the light turns green to allow people to run the red light. 51st & Memorial is the central intersection for the cruise strip, which runs down Memorial from 61st to 41st. If you look at the top 10 dangerous intersections in OK, 7 are in Tulsa and are all around that area. Good times.

Talking

I go thru #1 alot on my way to a friends house i think it's rated #1 due to a very large old fart retirement community called century vilage we call it cemetery vilage haha! About a 1/4 mile away from that intersection.

And all the old fart's around there crash into everything and run the red light's making the amount of accident's there high in number's.

and damn near 50% of everyone on these boards that is a regular has been through these 10 measely intersections.
thats why they're dangerous. it's because of the 73-87 forums

Yep learned my fist city-driving lesson at the intersection of 71 st & memorial got rear ended because I stooped before the light turned red. And my apartment was at the intersection of 51 st & memorial; you could just see the intersection from the balcony.

Interesting question. I decided to go to www.census.gov and find out.
In the 1999 estimates for cities I counted 84 or so cities with over 200,000 people.

I never really thought about how many there were, but 84 seems like quite a few.

I can not beleive Denver didn't make the list. All of the drivers with Colorado plates are either in a race for first place or there on speed!!!
