is this normal on the bottom of the doors ?
Ok Im workin on the doors of the truck today fixing an oil caning on the doors i missed so i stared all over and repulled the dents on the passanger side . that look like barbwire sracpes in the door from po being an farm truck .any way i found after priming the door about an hafe in or so from the bottom of the door an outward ridge running allmost the leinght of the door exsept for the for front and rear .. it is on both sides is this from the factory this way . when the put the doors together ????

The door skins are rolled over and spot welded on at the factory, I have seen this on some trucks but not all, not sure if it is site specific or random.

Thanks Rich i was thinking it was a factory thing but i do't have other set of doors to look at to check . i didnt want to go HAMMER CRAZY on the doors ...

both doors are the orignal on the truck the carese are on both doors in the same spot

I would be inclined to say that the skin was stretched where the crease was on both doors, since the folded over seam and inner structure was stronger than the skin, they are now showing through.
if you have some sort of straight edge that can conform to the profile of the door, you will probably see just the slightest dip above the inner structure that is showing through. pretty much all of the doors that I have that are dented in the lower skin have that same piece showing through like yours.

Thanks for the input im not sure if i want to spend the time now messing with the doors yet ill think about how i want to aproch this problem down the road i want to shoot the cab and fire wall so i can put some of the sheat metal back on it so i can drive it while i work on the outside of the body .

I used the stud gun to heat sections as well and then use a wet rag to shrink it .. I had some good sized dents in mine
