NE 60-61 Chevy Pickup Truck Hood Nice

60 61 Chevy Pickup Truck Hood . This is one of the nicest 60-61 Chevy Pickup Hoods I have had in a long time. This is still original paint. No rust on the front or on the sides. If you have been looking you can imagine how hard these are to find. There are a few little dings in the curved area above the park light but would straighten easily as it can be accessed from the rear. It took a long time to find one this nice.

I prefer not to ship this item as it cannot be insured thru Greyhound and truck freight gets pretty scary. If buyer wants to arrange shipping I can take to a freight company of their choosing.

Well sir since I don't happen to know anyone in Lincoln, Nebraska to ask which fright companies are available there to ship something I guess I am just out of luck.

Lincoln is a larger city so any of your major carriers should be there. What I usually do is check which company serves your area. I then check the city I would like to have it shipped from. Usually larger carriers have locations in most larger cities. Thanks

You might also check with abfs.com . which is ABF truck freight. I am pretty sure they serve Arizona. Thanks

Thanks , shipping is always tough. I used to give quotes but on one large item I would give over 10 quotes , package , and then drive to the freight company. Usually the shipping nixed the deal . I usually try to sell this type of hood locally as the buyer can come and pic it up. Wish we were closer , would make someone a great hood. All the rest of 61 hoods I have are rusty and have been sending them as scrap. Good luck with your truck.

I recently bought from Paul a mint 62-66 hood in this same condition. I could not find one out of a number of rusted or bent or bowed hoods anywhere close to me in Nebraska and was glad he had one put away in original paint. For me it is worth the extra effort and dollars for fuel to drive out and pick it up rather than have it damaged by someone else handling it to get it to me. Anything I have ever gotten from Paul I can say the part is everything he said it would be or even better in my eyes. He has been involved in these old trucks for years. Good clean hoods only come from parts that have come from good homes and been properly stored away for all these years.

I sold a '60 GMC hood to site member Surfdaddy in southern California. (About 15 hours South of here. He found a guy running an ad on Craigslist looking for freight to haul to Las Vegas. The guy was taking an empty truck down to move his mom back up here. The guy with the truck agreed to haul the hood to Vegas for $100. Surfdaddy just met him there and got it. It worked for us, but was probably just luck!!

i just bought the truck that ill need this hood for it would go to hawthone nevada i hr south of reno ill have to look at map to see how far you are greyhound does not scare me ive done it many times do you have a weight of hood and a city and zip ill call them tommorow ill take it if i can get it shipped

I had not anticipated shipping as my Greyhound told me that any used part cannot be insured so makes things kind scary. That was one of the reasons I preferred local pickup. I am about 30 miles from a Greyhound location. That location would be Lincoln Nebraska. Thanks
