68 Stepper ???
Is there a patchkit to fill in for spare tire on fender of step side ?
Would rather have both sides smooth fenders no spare tire on fender ... Thinking about buying this truck if it's not too rusty !!! |

Just replace the fender maybe? The side mounted spare is a pretty rare option.

I would buy a new fender and sell the old one. Bet you could get more for the side mount fender. ..or keep it and be different. Although I agree it looks better with it.

It's been said before. Rare and desirable aren't always the same. Nobody's been beating down my door to have my rare spare step fender. I have heard they make a patch panel for that but not who "they" are so don't know who might carry it.

If you buy it, just post an ad here and see if anyone wants to swap with you befire you weld or cut it up. I personally like the nostalgia look of the spare tire on the outside and I'm sure there are others that do also.

It's different and practical. Always had the spare in the bed on the farm and had to deal with it whenever I needed to haul anything. That was one of the things that attracted me to the 69 I got just a few months ago.
