CPP grand slam question

I'm trying to figure out which way to go with buying the components to lower the front of my truck properly.

here's what I "think" I got.

I think the crossmember is original to the truck.

the control arms are early as they do not appear to have press in bushings. stock spindles(don't know year and 1 1/4" rotors.

I would like to buy the CPP grand slam kits

My concern is can I use the 1 1/4 rotors with their spindles or do I need different rotors. I know I can ask them just thought I would ask here to see if anyone is using 1 1/4 rotors on the CPP dropped spindles..

I guess the simple question is what width rotors does the grand slam basic kit use. 1" or 1 1/4 rotor so I know which rotor to buy or I can use my old ones...

My guess is the CPP kit would use 1-1/4" rotors.
The 1" rotors are the "odd ball" configuration in the GM line-up.
GM started using these in light duty applications from 81-87.
Maybe on their 6-cylinder trucks,... but I have seen V8 trucks with them also.

What YOU need to find out about your truck,... is which ball joints and outer tie rods are in it now.
That will tell you what parts to buy.
I know this is a pain in the A$$,... but I would pull a spindle and take it to your local parts store.
If you can verify the upper ball joint,... that will tell you what you have.
Either 71-72 or 73-87.

Re: CPP grand slam question

thanks for the response.

so would it be safe to say that if I wanted to change the ball joints due age I could just purchase ball joints to accommodate the new spindles? or am I way off
