Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
I’ve been playing around with yet another shiny trinket idea, and looking for opinions on adding 327/crossed flag fender emblems to my truck. I had to use an older photo as nothing current was posed correctly.
Do they look great, stupid, one thing too many, or? My wife already doesn’t like the idea! Obviously I have too much time on my hands! All opinions welcome. Thanks for any and all feedback. I played around with adding the emblems both with and without the Moon decals: With the Moon decals: Without the decals:

Re: Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
I'm not a fan of the emblems or of any emblems for that matter. I like the smooth uncluttered look. Mark, your truck is perfect the way it is. I think you may need another project to tinker with so you'll leave your truck alone.

Re: Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
I like the idea and I have been planning to do the same thing sometime down the road. To me it looks a little better without the moon eyes.

Not a fan of decals or stickers but I've always liked the 327 flags. I think you need another project, maybe this time a Chevy. You know deep down you're a closet Chevy man!

Re: Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
Change the flags to the mid year corvette style and move them to the area where the C-10 emblem used to be. Motor heads will know what they mean!!

No decals, leave the 327 emblems where they are...very clean and simple.

Re: Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
Thanks to everyone for the input. I still haven't convinced the wife about the 327/flag emblems yet, but studying the photos convinced me it was time for the Moon decals to go. After a 10 minute session with some masking tape tonight, they're gone.

Re: Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
Finally gained "management" approval, so hopefully the new emblems will arrive and be installed within the next week or so.

Re: Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
Thanks for the comments guys. I'm really hoping the emblems will provide just the right amount of detail at the front, to balance up and tie in the windshield trim/spotlights in the middle, along with the bed rails at the rear. As I've told my wife, after this I'm never going to change another thing! Honest!!

Re: Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
can't wait to see it done - really like the emblems, and the placement. C10 location would have been a close 2nd, but prefer where you showed them.

Re: Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
I'd be interested to see what the cross flags look like without the 327 on top. Or even the big block cross flags, they don't have the triangle thing in the middle of the flags.

Re: Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
Mark I like the emblem, so long as a 327 is what's in it; otherwise just the flags if none exist with proper engine size. Agree with others that moons need to be saved on a shelf somewhere; your truck is too nice for them.

Re: Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
I forgot the big block ones had the engine size attached, but I was thinking the cross flags alone might look better.

Re: Fender Emblem Opinions Wanted
If you’re interested, post #260 on my build thread shows the truck with the Chevy horn emblem that inspired me, and the installation and mounting details on my truck are shown in the subsequent posts.
