Can I do a 2/3" drop and use stock shocks, etc?
Thinking about putting a slight drop on my shop truck. I would put 2" springs in the front and 3" in the back. Would like to use stock shocks and panhard bar as I have new ones already.
Can anyone tell me if I can stay all stock other than the springs? Would I need rear shock relocators or would stock position be ok with only 3" drop? Any info is appreciated. Thanks Scott

I did that drop by using CPP relocators for the back and a CPP front shock relocator on the front, the type that that relocates the mount to the top of the frame.

I went with that drop with out any problems, even with stock track arm. But I used spindles in the front (highly recommended) springs in the front will be fine still. Get it aligned afterwords. It's 4 or more in the rear and 3 in the front that you'll need to relocate shocks

I'm actually wanting to do the same thing. I was looking at DJM parts lastnight. www.gcustoms.com And the site sells just the springs for a 2/3 drop and tells you everything else you will need if you decide to go lower and what you could also get for best ride quality with a 2/3 drop.
But as far as I'm concerned, a 2/3 drop will be fine with everything else stock. |

I dropped mine last winter and kept the stock shocks and have had no issues,do a search here and you can find a simple way to relocate them yourself.I am going to do it this winter you use your existing mounts just have to modify them a little.Heres the link
