Tie rod end help for drop spindle installation

I installed a set of drop spindles on my 71 2wd Blazer- These use the 73 & Up larger taper outer tie rod ends. I have done several of these in the past and rounded up a drag link setup from a 73& up donor. The junkyards here are now not quite as numerous-
so what's the alternative?
Is there a tie rod sleeve that replaces the 71 model and allows the 73 & up outer? Part number and supplier if anyone knows- if not, I guess I'll make the junkyard run- Thanks

Those are great- I was hoping someone who had bought the adapter sleeves could post a part number and price

Re: Tie rod end help for drop spindle installation

71-72 tie rods are the same diameter as 73-87 (11/16")
You can use a 71-72 centerlink with a 71-72 inner tie rod connected to a 73-87 outer tie rod.
I would think a 73-87 centerlink would be easier to find.

But your original 71 2wd blazer center link will work just fine.

Re: Tie rod end help for drop spindle installation

The adapter sleeve is for the smaller tie rod 67-70 centerlink.
These tie rods are 5/8" diameter.
Plus they are the wrong thread direction.

To make this work:
1) 67-70 centerlink
2) 67-70 outer tie rod in the inner location
3) adapter sleeve
4) connected to a 73-87 outer.

Re: Tie rod end help for drop spindle installation

Thanks Keith. So, I just need to order a set of 73-87 outer tie rod ends and I am in business?
