blower motor relocation or removal
Hi there. I am currently building a 1980 c10 and bagged it with 22's and having fitment issues with the blower motor case. Was wondering if anyone else has ideas on what I should do as to removing the blower motor, relocating it or fabricating it to make it work. Also what problems some people may have ran into due to relocating it.
Thanks for your help, Calvin Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: blower motor relocation or removal
Welcome to the site.
Relocating it is hard due to size. Consider and aftermarket under the dash blower assembly. Kits are mostly made for 67-72 trucks. Those kits will easily fit our trucks when the ducts are removed. |

Re: blower motor relocation or removal
o kk, i was thinking about looking into that but it also sounds expencive and being only 21 years old and already sinking every dollar i have into this project, i have been looking towards the budget side of things. With that being said i will defiantly consider this option though. Are you aware of any sites that sell these?
Thank you for the help. |

Re: blower motor relocation or removal
Since your from Canada you probably don't use a/c that much but I will assume you want to retain your heater and defrost. Look for a factory non a/c truck. It will have a much smaller blower motor and cover that was designed to fit closer to your firewall. Beyond that you will need to remove it and go with a hidden unit.

Re: blower motor relocation or removal
My truck currently has the blower motor without a/c and even with that when I deflate the bags the tire does not clear at all so I'm assuming a underdash assembly may be my only option.
Thanks for the advise though. Much appreciated. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: blower motor relocation or removal
I know on another site a guy suggested using a Mojave unit. They're small and functional. I don't know anything about them but if you only need heat then you're in.

Re: blower motor relocation or removal
It's not so much heat that I want time keep functional. I just want to be able to have defrost functional incase the windows get fogged up at some point. But I will look into that system. Thanks.
