oops...
Maybe this guy should have waited for the seller to remove the original ad before trying to flip this truck:
http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/3326061356.html Here it is again, a day later: http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/3377736146.html

Re: oops...
The ads are showing 3 weeks apart for me. Mama must not have been happy when he brought the truck home!!

Re: oops...
I would have had a hard time coming off $2500 for it let alone $3500.

Re: oops...
I agree with 69gwc. WAAaaaayyy to high for the condition. It's also a short bed so you're getting less metal for the money. ha ha ha ha
And that's how the fight started. |

Re: oops...
Another example of someone watching too many phoney reality shows on tv. (dont get me started on those "flippers" on tv.)

Re: oops...
I saw a guy try to do that with a Blazer here that I had looked at, but it had a lot of issues. He doubled the price the first week, and by the second month he sold it for less than he paid for it.

Re: oops...
yep. and someone will probably buy it thinking they got a steal. sold my 66 a few weeks ago - and it's been on ebay continuously ever since - still there. Reserve still not met. After trying for 6 months to sell it myself, clearly the buyer felt it was worth more (as did I!) BUT, doesn't matter what the seller thinks, only matters what the buyer thinks!

Re: oops...
Yeah I sold my 68 Short stepper and 3 days later it was on the local craigslist. About a month later he has already dropped the price $800 dollars but is still above what I sold it for. maybe I sold it to low but people aren't buying these project trucks here right now. To many almost finished products running around on the cheap.

Re: oops...
Not a truck story.. but pertains to "flippers"..
Sold a 67 Barracuda three years ago for 3 grand. I pretty much knew the market, and knew the value of the car It needed a lot of work, but was pretty solid.. Seller gave me the full moan session as to it wasn't being worth the money I was asking.. But finally paid me as I wasn't in a rush to sell. You know the type. After a quicky paint job and a steam cleaning, he put it up on Craigslist two years ago for 14 grand.. It's been on there continuously ever since.. slowly coming down in price. He even lied about the Salvage title, saying it was a theft recovery. If the price goes below what I got for it.. I may buy it back.. J.

Re: oops...
Atleast he did have a long story with it, "Been in the family for over 20 years...".
Seeing that makes me feel better about my "new to me" pickup, and i got an extra two feet in the bed. lol.
