Where to get 3 point seatbelts?
Last night I noticed that the lap belt in my truck doesn't stay put if I tug it really quick - it just keeps rolling out more belt, as if I'm not wearing it. I've been wanting to replace them with 3 point belts anyway. Does anybody sell new stock looking 3 point belts? I looked at LMC but their belts only have one retractor - the OEM style has one on top, and one on bottom...right?

Re: Where to get 3 point seatbelts?
The cheapest and most simple way is to just convert to a single retractor 3 point belt. https://www.seatbeltplanet.com/ has the best prices on Beams belts (same ones that LMC sells)
That website also offers rewebbing and rebuilding, as do some other companies if you can find a set factory GM belts to rebuild. This is not a cheap route but it's the only way if you want factory correct.

I just ordered a complete set for my 77 from Seatbelt Planet. Got them for $168.00 shipped to my door. Google coupon code and you can find an online code to save an additional 10%.

Re: Where to get 3 point seatbelts?
My 1980 had a single retractor unit at the bottom of the belt the buckle side was stationary. And I know that I've seen single point belts in 75s never been in a 76 my77 had shoulder belts

Re: Where to get 3 point seatbelts?
All 3 point belts on these trucks are dual retractor. Early 3 point belts up to 77 had a retractor at the base of the seat, an another behind the seat. I am assuming this was an evolution of the lap belt for when 3 points belts were not mandatory.
78 and up have two retractors combined into one unit. It looks like one retractor, but there are really two mechanisms for each end of the belt inside. The mounting area is different with these and they are not compatible with earlier cabs without modifications. Either way, the male buckle is fixed to the belt and both ends of the belt extend. In a single retractor setup, the male bukcle will slide along the belt and only one end of the belt will extend while the other is fixed.

My only gripe is that you have to pull the belt out slowly when you go to buckle it. I called and asked if there was an adjustment. Guy told me the feds make the rules and there is no adjustment.
