Wheel backspacing for guys laying frame

I am looking to get the deepest wheel I can and not have fender clearance issues. My C10 is on a raised and sectioned stock crossmember with 2.5" dropped spindles and currently has 15x? I think 7" wheels on 235.75/15. I notched the front fenders and when airing out it does hit the sidewall for 1 spot then the camber kicks in and it clears. The rears are fine. I would like to run Coker G78 with 15x8 or 15x7 smoothies. I am thinking I wont be able to get away with the 8 in the front but what is your recommendation. The G78 will be a more narrow tire.

and standard backspacing etc I am not too sure on this. i deal with offsets on my dialy cars, I know backspacing is the same but in inches. I am just not sure what most guys are running, I dont want it tucked in.

A 7" or 8" wheel can have no more than 4" backspace or the wheel will rub hard on the control arm.
I would go with a 15x7 (with 4" bs)

Thanks man. You think a 15x8 will fit in the rear? 15x7 up front is cool w me.

Yes.
You will just have to measure.

Keep the front ones stock, that way you do not need to modify your front inner fenders as much....on the rear it depends on how you did your suspension.......if it is really low then the inner fenders will have to be modified anyway.......Kieth

if you see the pics I am on the ground all the way on 15x7 w. 235-75-15. The rear is stock 12 bolt rear end w trailing arms, front is as mentioned in 1st post, I belive 2.5" spindles pull the wheel in closer to the frame so I thought I could squeeze a 15x8 but I will order 15x7 front w tires, test the rears, then order the same or 15x8 if I think they will fit.

Spindles won't pull the wheels in,... unless they are the CPP Modular 2" drop spindles.

my understanding is that any of there spindles will bring them in its there new desighn call to make sure just went through this
