Headlights
Hey guys. Anyone know if they make an aftermarket set of headlights that are any brighter (to replace the four on the front), or a lot brighter, than the factory set? If so, can you tell me where to find them an a possible cost? Thanks much.

Sylvania's Silverstar replacement sealed beam lights make for a great upgrade as well. The Hella conversions are the ultimate but for $200 plus the cost of a relay harness system, I don't think most people would find it to be a worthwhile upgrade.

Yes Hella's are somewhat costly but it can be done for significantly less than $200. Instead of replacing all 4 headlights, replace just the 2 driving lights ($100). For the high beam headlights, wire the hi/lo filaments together so they both come on at the same time. That makes them approximately 100 watts each.
There are wiring diagrams that show how to make your own relay harness. It took me a little time but saved a lot of money.

Thanks for the responses gents. I just hate going down the road at night and seeing a "dim yellow hue" when compared to some of the more modern lights on the road today.

I use these on 79 Z/28 and my 77 Chevy truck and both use relays for more voltage to them as well.

they have the housings on lmc, i actually found mines at a flea market i got them for $40 then i just bought some HID's for another $45, they make them for the round and square headlights

I have the hid boxes just no the bulbs and lens. Is there a place I can get let unsealed lens and what bulb works for high and low beams I was also thinking of doing my fog lights in hid also. And ideas.
