extra aluminum fuel tank

After building my fuel tank, I had enough material left over to build 1 more. If someone is interested in it, price is $275.00. Will fit 67 to 72's under bed, without cutting bed cross members. Measures 18.75"L x27.25"W x 10"D.(3003 .120") 19 gallon. I am posting now before configuring to be side fill or in bed fill.

how do you secure that to the truck? straps or holes in the tank to bolt it up?

The tank attaches to the frame with aluminum angles welded to tank. I just hadn't installed them yet when the pic was taken. I will post a pic of a finished tank I used on my truck tonight.

I would need the filler to be towards the rear because i am going to have the tail-light filler... So i would need it to be towards the left rear of the truck if you already haven't welded the filler on...
thanks

I'm interested in it. don't take it personally, but i'm a little worried about how it works, like any holes in the welds, if it will bend under the weight of gas, how well it fits, how well the gas guage sender will work. I'd like to see it, do you go to any shows around the midwest?

Michael12, I have not welded the filler on yet. Can be put any where you want. Low69CST, those are good questions to ask. I pressure test the tank to 4PSI (expands enough to scare me)to check for leaks. This is the fourth tank I have built. First 1 has been under my 71 for 2 1/2 years now. Second one is under my 68 I just finished about a month ago. As for the sender, I set it up for the aftermarket sender you can buy from Jegs, or Summit. To see how tank fits, search for my post on reassembley pics. There is a picture of the tank installed under the 68. It is a close fit to gain as much fuel supply as possible. I will be going to the Goodguys show in Kansas City in sept. I am not trying to pawn off any junk, just trying to help out gear head brothers. Let me know if any other questions

Man, if I ever get to the point of putting one in the bed, I am going to come to you. That is if you make them when you don't have scraps laying around. Nice looking tank at a decent price.

Kid, I want a tank. It will just be awhile before I'm ready. Can I contact you when I am ready? That is a very fair price and looks like very good work.

Hey kid i'm very interested in one of those tanks. Do you have the p/n number for that sender? I don't recall seeing those in the book, i know most of whats in it. If you were to sell that tank would you be interested in making & selling another one?

Low69CST, you are right, Jegs don't have the sending unit I mentioned, my mistake. here is a link to the sending unit I mentioned. http://www.yogisinc.com/Detail.cfm?P...L&Category=376 Cost is $25.00, although I seen them at the Springfield NSRA nationals for $23.00. I would be interested in building another. Takes me about a week and a half of evenings to put one together. Let me know
