A/C cowl flapper?
Is there a good place to buy a new replacement a/c flapper? Or is it just one company that makes them? How's the fitment? Thanks!

Sorry I can't help on where to buy. Did away with mine and love the way it cools. I sealed it up and couldn't be happier.

LMC sells one, but I can't tell you what quality it is.

Re: A/C cowl flapper?
So basically you just blocked the fresh air from entering the cowl? I just got done scrounging up a really nice OE one for my truck. I really thought about blocking it off due to all the snow/leaves around here each year.

Re: A/C cowl flapper?
Yes I blocked it off completely. Cut a small peice of sheet metal and used ac tape to to seal it off. I have the factory equipment with added 134 A condensor and acumalator without the POA valve.
On 90 degree days I run right at 40 degree's. I took the vacume canister off the passenger side kick vent and use it manually now. I open the passenger side vent and the ac running it just keeps the cab air circulating and gets coolder and colder. Just like on the newer cars. Yes I'm running 134a also. I have a manual shut off in the heater line also along with the vacume shut off. This is good insurance to make the cab as cold as you can. Here is a link for you I did awhile back. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=522878 Here is what I have.

Re: A/C cowl flapper?
Very nice. Maybe one day I can start my truck to get the a/c working.
