5th Gen Camaro
Will 5th Gen Camaro long tube headers work on a LS swap in a 1968 Truck? I have seen them mentioned but didn't see where someone said if they will or won't work.

What about Doug Thorley long tubes? is there a reason you are wanting the F-body headers?

I can get a set of stainless long tubes for a camaro for around $350. That is why. Otherwise I will more than likely be using Trail blazer SS headers. But I thought I would ask and see if anyone had tried it and had any luck.

I think the 4th gen fit good i will be getting a set soon from Amazon ceramic coated they are like $352. Ill see if i can find the posts that i read about them.

I put 5th gen long tubes on my 85 gmc. Mine is a 4x4 but here are some pics, maybe it will help you figure out the dimensions a little better. I picked them up for $250 off Ebay.
These last two pics show how the collectors dip a little lower than the crossmember. But your application will be different. Either way, cutting off the collectors and re-welding them will be easy. |

In those pics above it looks like it's a tight squeeze, but there is LOADS of room so don't be fooled. Also, I'm using Dirty Dingo motor mounts.
