66 k20 no crank

So about a week ago I bought this truck and it would start fine every time. I went to start it yesterday and it didn't do a thing. The battery is good and I bench tested the starter it worked fine. When I tested the starter post to see if power was going down to it there was but it is constant on both sides of the starter key on or off I'm lost any ideas? Thanks.

Re: 66 k20 no crank

check your battery cables and cean the terminals really well, these will act this way. if in doubt at all, buy new ones. The cables can get corrosion inside them. The new ones should come with the terminals built right onto them.

Can you jump a screwdriver between battery wire & start-solenoid post at starter? If it starts, solenoid is ok & suspect a bad wire to switch or switch itself. Else, solenoid is bad, as chuchw suggested.
