Fresh Rebuilt th350 puking oil everywhere and wheels wont turn...?
Well I got my freshly rebuilt th350 installed and the rear tires will not turn with the engine running in any gear.
I put around 7 quarts of trani fluid in it and all it does is pukes out the top vent hole on the drivers side and it seems as if some fluid even sprayed out of the tail end. Is it over pressurizing or something? It can't be over full I don't think. The torque converter is all the way in, was filled with trani fluid and installed properly...??????? sounds to me like something got messed up in the rebuild.... it should never ever spray fluid out of the vent even if it where WAY over full

That's what I'm thinking...
Is there a possiblity it could be air locked?

Re: Fresh Rebuilt th350 puking oil everywhere and wheels wont turn...?
ive never seen a trans get air locked. any trans i have replaced( and its been many) ive always just filled the converter before installing then when i get everything all bolted up fill up the trans a couple quarts short of what the recomended it start the vehicle then start adding till its full run it through all the gears to make sure all the fluid gets everywhere it needs to be recheck my fluid level then take it for a test drive.
im thinking that maybe something did not get replaced inside like an oring on an accumulator or something like that. its really hard to say with out taking it back out and taking it apart again... i could be wrong and if anything i said here is wrong feel free to correct me but i think your best/ only bet is going to be removing the trans again abd have it gone through again.... a good trans building will always test the trans operation prior to installation by useing compressed air in certain ports to make sure there is no leaks internally and that all the bands and clutch packs apply and release as they should |
