Electrical problem

Has anybody had this issue? 1966 Chev C10 Burb
I was driving home last night and smelt something burning and noticed my heater wasn't working at all and the fuse was hot, so I unplugged the heater wires from the fuse box.
I started driving again and I still smell something burning so I stop and check under the dash again, this time the back of my light switch was red hot. I still had lights but it was hot.

Thanks in advance

Re: Electrical problem

I've had the truck for a year, it's a daily driver. I haven't changed anything to it except I put a new carb on recently. The trailerbwiring in the back is pretty clean, I put a round 7 on it when I got it because I pull boats a lot.

Re: Electrical problem

I'd park it until you get it fixed. My 63 was a fire just waiting to happen. I had 1 bare wire in the engine comp. which went back under the dash where I found 2 more.

It sounds like you might have a serious issue.
