To bag the rear or not?
So I finally got the suspension done, well I thought. 4" HD drop springs for the rear, adjustable track bar, all new shocks and 1" drop for the front, 2.5 drop spindles. Did the 5 lug swap from a '72.. Scored a set of 20" Boyds with 275mm tires for $500 on craigslist.
Did NOT do a C- notch. I've been working on a 70 4wd that I picked up and really didn't drive the burb that much. Now that I have, I am satisfied but not 100% happy. It's not a show truck and never will be, but I thinking about bagging the rear. My thoughts are that if I bag it, I can raise and lower it at will. I live out in the country and the roads here suck! I have a F550 for towing the heavy stuff, but would maybe later tow a bike or something light with the burb. The bags would give me that flexibility. But, I know NOTHING about air bags and ride quality. Would love some opinions on that option. Thanks, Bake

Re: To bag the rear or not?
itll ride better then what it does now.
it'll be adjustable for when you have a trailer hooked up. there is no negative things i can tell you from doing it. |

Re: To bag the rear or not?
I wanted to get a set of the 4" H.D. for my panel truck. Why aren`t you 100% happy? What shocks are you using. I have 4'' ECE springs in my Burb (not H.D.) I`m not happy with the ride, I started with the white KYBs, now I went with Monroe matics after hearing some board member say the liked them. Atleast it`s not as bouncey.

Re: To bag the rear or not?
I have the back of my burb bagged. Its easy to do. I never had 4" drop springs on my burb, so I cant say much about the ride difference, but the bags ride great.
