Been apart to long or bad memory?

This is a simple one what side does the heat riser go? and which wat does the arm face. This is on a 1971 C-20 w/307 and 4 speed.

i would say the right side a v-8. and not sure on the arm...c.r.s. sometimes....

The heat riser always goes on the driver side, and the shaft I believe is in parallel to the block.

Driver's side on my original 350. Here's a picture before the disassembly. I believe the passenger cars were on the right.

My K20 originally had it on the passenger side...

Interesting. I wonder if the 4WDs had them opposite the 2WDs. Mine is a C20 and it was on the left since new. I know the manifolds are different, so it could be.

1973 and up the snorkel faces right and no spacer.
