Newbie from Banff
Howdy,
Been reading for awhile now, but just about to start doing a few more things to my 68 C10, starting with the Painless harness I got for Christmas! There is a C notch on order, and bags in its future, which will go well with the chopped top, Flaming River column and Lokar 'Nostalgia' 4 speed auto shifter... May have to start a build thread, mainly to get ideas from you guys that have done this before. I'm just getting into it Cheers, Craig Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Newbie from Banff
Welcome! Nice truck, is it originally a local truck? Those vents on the fenders remind me of a truck that used to run around town here when I was a kid. It was a blue short box with a chop top and vents on the fenders like yours.

Re: Newbie from Banff
The chop and original build were done in Kelowna around 15 years ago, and its been in the Calgary area for the past 7 or 8. I swapped trans for a 700r4, swapped steering for a Flaming River column, and just about to replace bench seat with a set of buckets and a console. Next up is remove the bed, Painless harness, and get rid of the leaky gas tank (filled from behind the right rear marker light).
The vents, mirrors and steering wheel were from a Firebird donor. Posted via Mobile Device |
