Re: E 15 gasoline?
I've been trying to preach the exact same things she talks about for years--it happens with E10 too. I wish this wasn't a Fox clip, because their credibility has taken a few hits, but everything mentioned in it is true. We will, in addition, get crystallized crud in our float bowls, as a result of the reactions the ethanol has with most materials.
Maybe with AAA issuing the warning the Environmentalists will have to concede to the Ecologists for a change. Everyone, pass this on to everybody you know. This is even damaging late and current model cars, and check out what the clip says about warranties!

Re: E 15 gasoline?
Anything with Ethanol in it is bad! We are stuck with it in most cases. You can buy non ethanol gas, but its over $4 per gallon in my area.

Re: E 15 gasoline?
I can get non-ethanol for about 20 cents more here. I have started running only it in my truck.

Re: E 15 gasoline?
I've been using E10 in my '64 VW for years and 50K+ miles. It's not a big deal if you don't let it sit any length of time and keep a check on the flexible hoses periodically. Dad's '57 has sat for over 6 months at a time with E10 treated with Sta-Bil and it always starts right up. No corrosion or gunk problems, the alcohol keeps they system really clean. I think the problems most people have are from letting their vehicle sit with untreated gas- bad idea if it's E10 or pure gasoline.

Re: E 15 gasoline?
Most of the gas stations around here has 10 to 20% Ethanol mixed in with the gasoline which decreases the fuel mileage on our daily drivers.
Ethanol mixture does more harm than good. http://spectator.org/archives/2010/0...ssic-cars-dont http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/money...utos-epa_n.htm http://www.ehow.com/facts_6181349_ef...-old-cars.html http://www.mossmotors.com/SiteGraphi...s/Ethanol.html Sta‑Bil Fuel Stabilizer & Octane Booster
