Re: fuel line and fitting help

I just draw the whole system out on a piece of paper and put together a spreadsheet of part #'s, costs, etc... Much easier that way.

Re: fuel line and fitting help

Look at post #36 in my build. I put in a Boyd fuel tank with the electric fuel pump. I think your fittings and filter/regulator are going to be the same. Good luck and its easy to build these lines!

Re: fuel line and fitting help

If you do the quick connect to factory fuel rail make sure that it is the kind with the screw on end not the plastic kind. Lots of guy have had them blow off or leak real bad. 644130 This is the part number on summit for the 3/8 size. Pretty sure they are about the same price.

I wish I would have known that about the plastic clip kind sooner, I was planning on putting mine on this week.

Re: fuel line and fitting help

In case there is any confusion;
The plastic quick connect fittings that auto parts stores sell, plastic OUTSIDE with a poly or metal center clip, work just fine. They are the kind you see in fuel line repair kits.

The ALUMINUM quick connect AN fittings with the plastic center clip FAIL, and the company denies it.

The ALUMINUM quick connect AN fittings with the screw on METAL retaining section are the revised safe design.

To clarify if there were an misconceptions.
