Re: WTB: Suburban Tailgate Lock

Sorry for the delay. I found one. I don't have the escheon ring. Just the push button with the bracket that mounts it. I don't have the key for it.

Re: WTB: Suburban Tailgate Lock

Brian,

Here are the pics and this should be everything you need, lock bezel with new gasket, pushbutton, and the bracket it bolts to that bolts inside the gate. I even have an extra rear panel to cover up the hole. I don't have a key so you'll have to figure that out on your end. Let me know.

Re: WTB: Suburban Tailgate Lock

As far as getting a key for it...

If you push down on the spring retainer on the back side of the lock (where the shaft goes through) and remove the clip, you can then slide the whole button ass'y out. On the cast piece just below the chrome cap you should find a code number stamped. A good locksmith should be able to cut you a key from that code number that will fit the lock. I tried to take a picture of one I have but the batteries in my camera are dead too..... If you can't find anyone in your area to cut a key from the code # let me know.
