Rear bag setups w/out notch
Hey everyone, it's been a wile since I've posted but I'm a regular every day reader. Reason for posting is well I'm somewhat stuck between two diff stances so why not bag right?? Only thing is I'm not really wanting to lay frame (although I do think trucks look sick laying down). I currently have 2.5" drop spindles and 2" springs set up in the front and I like the way it sits already. What I'm looking to do is bag the rear so I can drop it low and cruise or raise it a bit to get that aggressive look. Only thing is that I have no idea when it comes to air bag suspension. I've spent some time looking for builds but a lot of them are notch builds. Although I have seen the porterbuilt stage 1 build but what else would I need besides those items? Any info and builds without notches would be a lot of help. I appreciate it and thanks to everyone in advance.

Re: Rear bag setups w/out notch
I'm guessing your truck is a 71 by your name,For the front a stage 1 kit like http://www.azproperformance.com/Port...Front-Kit.html and his rear kit http://www.azproperformance.com/Port...eluxe-Kit.html the rear has a small notch but it will fit under the bed after that you need air management which can be cheap as 600 bucks to over 2 grand if you want the ride height sensor auto leaving systems. After all that just install it which will take time to do right. The air lines are plastic so keep them away from heat like the exhaust and moving parts like the drive shaft.A build for you to thumb over http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...hlight=picacho he did basicly what you want to.

Re: Rear bag setups w/out notch
What andrewmp6 suggested is a good way to go and the build link is a very good example of a truck with that kit installed. We have our Pro1 air ride kit that uses the basic version of the Stage 2 and front Stage 1 kit from Porterbuilt. This kit also includes the air management as will with dual VIAIR compressors and AccuAir valve. Using the AccuAir valve allows a clean setup and the ability to upgrade to e-level if you decide later.
Pro1 Air Ride Kit http://www.azproperformance.com/Pro1...r-Bag-Kit.html That above kit will give you a lowered ride height, with the ability to air out and tuck the wheels some when parked. If you are looking to just bag the back, then I would suggest the Stage 2 basic kit, with the c-notch. From there, you can either add a simple manual air management system to control it. The basic kit is same as the deluxe, but no trailing arms or trailing arm crossmember. Stage 2 Basic Kit http://www.azproperformance.com/Port...Basic-Kit.html Travis |
