3 speed manual column to floor convertion
Hi all,
I'm new to this site. I have a 71 c10, a project for 15 years now, and a 69 I recently acquired from my brother. The question I have is what is the best way to convert the 3 in the tree to a floor shift. I have researched it but it seems as though everyone is using the mr gasket kit. Is that all inclusive? This is a budget project for now and I'm looking for the best cheapest option. Thanks, Jonathan Posted via Mobile Device |

I used the spectre kit. it was missing both shifter levers so I made some at work. Other than that, the kit has been working great and it hits every gear, every time

i bought a b&m truck series rachet shifter. it comes with everything. the cable and bracket to bolt up to the tranny, and has the nice cover and bout to cover the shifter. think it was like 200 bucks.

200$ is a little pricey. This is a really low budget project. Until its on the road and I sell my f250, then I can start dumping some money into it.

I belive this shifter is for a truck with a auto trans and not a manual.

Re: 3 speed manual column to floor convertion
I bought the Hurst conversion kit for $200 shipped from an online vendor. Been nearly 4 years so cannot remember where. It came with everything I needed and has been working flawlessly. Hardest part was cutting the hole in the floor. A double cut carbide rotary file in my die grinder made quick work of that job.
