Have to admire the dedication it takes to put one back that original.

The appeal in that truck is that it's factory correct. Big wheels and tires would blow that whole picture.

Exactly. But factory 19s and skinny tires would be sweet. I want a plain jane 4x4 Suburban on factory 19's one day.

Like these.
that is more than likely a 3/4t 4 x 4 that has those 19's they didn't put 19's on 1/2t which is what suburban 4 x 4's are. believe that 7 x 17.5 was the largest that you could get
you may have seen a 1t panel with them

That is just gorgeous. 44k does seem like a lot, but I bet they've got that or close to it invested to get it in that condition.

Here's the link to the sale with more pics. Actually says it sold for 48,4 so I guess the 44 is after B-J takes their premium.

Re: Barrett Jackson 62 4x4

Awesome truck!
I'm curious about the interior... my '61 Suburban is really a '62, but with the hood and grill, it's just easier to tell everyone "it's a '61." Only a few realize it's got a '60 grill in it.

Anyway, the interior on mine is the light silver, not the bronze.
Also, does anyone know if that door jamb is painted properly on the door itself? On mine, all indications are it was originally 2-tone, with light green on the bottom and the roof and A-pillars white. That seems to carry into the door jamb area.
It's easily possible that isn't correct due to a repaint.
Where is the "cutoff" for interior-to-exterior paint?

I believe this is the same truck that was discussed in one of the picture threads a little while back.

X2. WOW! Factory documentation! The purists guys really appreciate it. Thanks for sharing these photos. The '62 Chevy and 60-66's collection of trucks are the type of calibur of vehicles that the collector car industry will take notice and realize these trucks are rarer than most 2 door cars that flood BJ. It has the super rare optional maximum wheel size for 1/2 tons, the 17.5" 6 lug clip type wheel plus the rare hubcaps. Anyone can find a set of mags and mudder tires, but how many can find this combo?

Re: Barrett Jackson 62 4x4

Sorry guys I should have explained. The paperwork is from the 1962 Civil Defense Panel truck with 11000 original miles on that I was outbid on at a farm auction. The white Suburban in the pictures was for sale on the internet many years ago, not sure where it ended up. The documents show the 17.5 wheels, "like" whats on the Suburban.
