Is there a way to tell EXACTLY what year and size LS engine and transmission I have.
Where are the numbers located?

Here are the numbers I located on the passenger rear just below the cyl. head cast iron block 12567392 there was no alpha in the casting number

its a 5.3, and the only reason I found that is because of other peoples "what do I have threads", and they posted the same block number. but the block castings aren't used much to figure out what you've got...if its stock look at the number on the heads and its usually easier to figure out.

Your heads probably say 706 I think
