Uneven track width
I installed 2.5 drop spindles this past weekend from CPP (Western Spindles) and am having a rubbing issue on the driver's side with bumps in the city and highway, its cutting into low mileage tires.
I know the mounts for the core support are completely shot (nonexistent). SO...is the sheetmetal misaligned or is the suspension off? Pass: Driver: Any words of wisdom? Thanks |

Re: Uneven track width
First of all, have your alignment checked. It looks to me like the camber is off.
After that, I would look into the body/frame issue. The front mounts should be addressed at that time. It is also possible that there is frame damage? It may be to your advantage to have the alignment done at a place that can check the frame too, if you live in a city big enough to have one. That may save you some money.

Re: Uneven track width
Thanks guys, I will be having the alignment checked soon. I just never noticed the issue when the old spindles were installed. Ill update this thread when I find something out.

Re: Uneven track width
That's true, I'm working on a set of staggered Rally's for it but it won't change the fact that the driver's side is stuck out further than the p/s.

Re: Uneven track width
I would suspect alot of it is from your front sheet metal looking at your pics you have a awfully big gap on one side of your hood as compared too the other. If your rad support mounts are as bad as you say they are (i've seen this before)try pushing your front clip left or right too see if it moves at all.
and yes it looks like you could use a alignment
