You know that's bugged me for years, I think that may have been a dealer installed option. I used to have a Canadian 1962 Accessories book that had a listing for one. Same as the Impala. There were more accessories in 62 than 63.

Well, I actually think it looks better that way. Not enough that I'm going to try and modify anything on mine, but better all the same.

Aerotruk in your collection of literature would you have a parts breakdown showing a rear sport bumper on a 60-mid 63 K10 short fleetside?

I'll look but please understand, The illustrations that were provided to the parts guys were a reference to the area in the book where all the models were listed. You would see a illustration of let's say a C10 application but the group number would lead you to the individual part numbers including the K10 though there was no illustration of the individual part. I believe your the guy who's frame terminates just behind the rear spring shackle, correct?

Yes you're right.. That's exactly what I'm running into.. They make repro brackets for 67-72 short 4x4's I have the 60 parts supplement but I didn't see a listing, which Leads me to believe it might have been an earlier released part.
