Identifying wheels
Okay, I'm not sure which forum this should be posted in. None of the general ones looked appropriate, so I figured I would ask here.
I have some wheels that I need to find center caps for, and I've talked to a couple of people that say they can likely find what I need if I can give them the manufacturer. I have no idea who made them though, and it's not printed anywhere on the wheel. Can anyone identify these wheels, or tell me where I can get new center caps for them? |

I'll ask a buddy, he's a wheel guru.

Re: Identifying wheels
They kinda look like the KMC wheels I used to have.

Re: Identifying wheels
Whatever they are, I'm guessing that they are at least 20 years old. I've had them for 10 years, and the guy that had them before me had them for a while too.
I got the full set for $100 from him because they were taking up space. He gave me 4 new caps for them, but two of the four didn't fit very well and I've lost one. They look pretty good on my '62 though, so I figure I'll keep them a while longer. |

Re: Identifying wheels
Post a pic of the caps, that might help us! Also, they might look really good with the centers painted, lips left chrome, no caps, with chrome closed lug nuts. Just thinking out loud...

Re: Identifying wheels
Here's a picture of a wheel on the truck with the center cap and the front and back of one of the caps.

Re: Identifying wheels
I definitely remember that wheel. From early 90s Hot Rod/Car Craft magazines...

Re: Identifying wheels
Thanks, I didn't figure I would find originals, they are rather old. The covers I have are likely aftermarket.

Re: Identifying wheels
There are some caps on ebay that I think would work. Try "KMC center cap", then add in "old", "chrome", etc.

Re: Identifying wheels
The only numbers on the back are 3442. I found a couple of the exact same ones on ebay, but since they are probably generic, I imagine I can find something else that will work that I can buy new.
