Wish I was done!!
Well the block is all cleaned up,, debating bore/new pistons, or re-using what came out. When I tore into this she was running like a champ, but all the gaskets and freeze plugs were leaking. Not to mention the block was covered in grease/oil.
I shot a little GM blue on the a few cleaned up parts, I want the engine bay to look like it came off the factory floor. Here is a few pics of the last few days of cleaning... Posted via Mobile Device |

Looks good! I used corporate blue on mine too, it's a nice change from chevy orange, still "pops" nicely, and has the added benefit of being "correct." What kind of intake is that?

It's an edelbrock 2101 performer. I did my homework and that's the intake I need to run my stock quadrajet with the divorced choke. So I put a wanted add on craigslist with that model number and 15$ bucks later.... And I agree orange is the most popular, I have done it myself, I just wanted this one to look completely stock under the hood.
