changing diff fluids in 87 front and rear is 89021671 gm fluid correct?
I have heard it is correct but not for both front and rear this correct? and mine does not have the G80 limited lock option so I don't need the additive correct? thanks

This past December I serviced both axles using GM's Synthetic 80w90 gear oil. Part # 88900401. It ain't cheap @ $35.00 a qt. and 3 qt's per axle but I figure since it's what GM recommends for the majority of their vehicles these days I might as well go ahead and upgrade to it.
Oh did I mention I work in the parts dept of a GM dealership?
