ECE drop spindles with stock 1968 steel wheels?

I've done some searching on the board and haven't really found a definite answer. Going to go with ECE dropped spindles and disc brake conversion for the front and currently have the stock 15" x 6.5" steel wheels from 1968 mounted. I believe that these aren't going to work due to clearance issues with the control arm or caliper but don't know for sure. I already have 2" springs in the front and 3" in the back but ultimately am going for 4.5" / 6" drop. If the stock wheels aren't going to work up front I'm going with wheel vintiques 62 series all around. Does any body know if the 15 x 7 front with 4.25 backspacing will clear all my front hardware? Thanks for any input.
