Water pump heater hose connection question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I'm hooking up my Vintage Air HVAC system to my 5.3L and I need to know which of the connections on the water pump is the supply to the heater and which one is the return. I think the connection closest to the radiator is the supply and the one closest to the engine is the return, can someone please let me know if I'm correct?

The 5/8 connection supplies the heater. The larger 3/4 is the return.
